This like other psalms is a great wonder from man's perspective. But extending it further what was it that Jesus Christ, fully man, fully human would wonder the same to His father in prayer? Trying to see living on this earth, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, taking on the form of a servant, a slave, see man's condition first hand and cry out in very true wonder and amazement this entire psalm as He sought His Father. O the need and what better way to "let this mind be in you" and see man's condition before God and cry out to Him:
To him that excelleth on Gittith. A Psalm of David.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy Name in all the world! which hast set thy glory above the heavens. When I behold thine heavens, even the works of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast ordained, What is man, say I, that thou art mindeful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower then God, and crowned him with glory and worship. Thou hast made him to have dominion in the works of thine hands: thou hast put all things under his feet:

What must have Jesus felt seeing God the Father as we see God the Father? May I learn to pray this psalm seeing God the Father through the eyes of Jesus.
