For awhile as I have been wondering how Jesus fully man dwelling among us and lived a life "yet without sin"? Philippians 2 says He didn't count being equal with God of importance, but became obedient. Obedient to whom? Obedient to His Father. So in essence not claiming His power of the godhead He made Himself dependent on His Father. How? When He said, I and my Father are one He not only claimed to be equal with God, but also declared His dependence on God the Father. His oneness with the Father He spoke of later at His last Passover with His disciples. If you have seen me you have seen the Father. Such a tight relationship was present between Jesus fully man and God the Father. What made that possible on this earth, in this world dwelling amongst men?
Who in the days of his flesh did offer up prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears unto him, that was able to save him from death, and was also heard in that which he feared. And though he were the Son, yet learned he obedience, by the things which he suffered.
Hebrews 5:7-8
Now there's a passage that isn't preached that often. That phrase, "that which He feared". And this whole passage is in fact speaking of multiple times of prayer, multiple times of crying, even multiple times that He feared. Yes, some might say that is only speaking of Hid praying in the garden before yielding to the culture of the Jewish leaders, yielding Himself to the Roman culture. Was that really the only time He feared in His whole life?
